Auditor schedules special filing period for 2017 races with no candidates
PORT ORCHARD – Kitsap County Auditor Dolores Gilmore called for a special three-day filing period for nonpartisan offices in which no candidate filed for the 2017 Primary.
The special filing period begins at 8 a.m., Wednesday, May 24 and ends at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 26. Candidate filings will be accepted online and in the Kitsap County Auditor – Elections Division office at 619 Division Street in Port Orchard.
Filing will be accepted for the following positions:
Port of Keyport District No. 8 Commissioner Position 2, 6-year term
Port of Tracyton District No. 15, Commissioner District 3, 2-year unexpired term
Rocky Point Water District No. 12 Commissioner Position 3, 4-year unexpired term
Sunnyslope Water District No. 15 Commissioner Position 2, 4-year unexpired term
Sunnyslope Water District No. 15 Commissioner Position 3, 6-year term
Old Bangor Water District No.19 Commissioner Position 1, Short and 2-year unexpired term
Old Bangor Water District No.19 Commissioner Position 2, Short and 6-year term
Old Bangor Water District No.19 Commissioner Position 3, Short and 4-year unexpired term
Applicable filing fees are due at the time of filing and there is no withdrawal period for candidate filings submitted during the special three-day filing period. This special three-day filing period will be conducted pursuant to RCW 29A.24.181.
