Home-Delivered Meals
 
Kitsap ALTC contracts with Meals on Wheels Kitsap for Senior Nutrition Services to provide home-delivered meal services in our county.
Home-delivered meals are provided to vulnerable older persons who are home-bound by reason of illness, incapacitating disability, or who are otherwise isolated.

This program intends to:

  • Maintain or improve health status
  • Support Independence
  • Prevent Institutionalization
  • Allow earlier discharge from hospitals, nursing homes, or other residential care facilities


    • Each meal served contains at least one-third of the current Recommendations Dietary Allowance (RDA) as established by the food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Science National Research Council.
