Auditor’s Elections Division to host two candidate filing forums

PORT ORCHARD – The Kitsap County Auditor’s Office – Elections Division will host two events to help potential candidates for office in 2019 learn what they need to know as they consider whether to run for office. The meetings will be May 6 on Bainbridge Island and May 7 in Bremerton.

The Elections Division previously participated in forums hosted by the cities of Poulsbo and Port Orchard.

The events will cover filing for office and submitting statements for the Local Voters’ Pamphlet, and elected officials already serving will be on hand to discuss other issues about running for office and the duties as an elected official.
