Online licensing and elections services temporarily unavailable.
PORT ORCHARD - Washington licensing offices will be closed and other services will be affected through Labor Day, because of a system modernization project at Washington Department of Licensing. Here are some important details:
Licensing
Vehicle licensing offices will be unable to do vehicle transactions beginning 5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30 and lasting through Labor Day. Some online licensing services are already unavailable and will not return until Tuesday, Sept. 4.
Driver and vehicle licensing offices will be closed Friday, Aug. 31, through Labor Day. Licensing staff in the Auditor's Office will be available during the closure to answer questions during normal business hours on Friday.
Elections
Residents will not be able to register online (MyVote) or change registration information beginning Thursday, Aug. 30 through Labor Day.
Residents may still register to vote using a printed voter registration form. Forms are available online or in the Kitsap County Auditor's Office, 619 Division Street, Port Orchard, WA 98366.
All services are scheduled to return on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Residents may call the Kitsap County Auditor's office at (360) 337-7128 after Labor Day to verify the service needed is available.
