KITSAP COUNTY CLERK
*Temporary Service Disruption*
**The Washington Courts computer systems are experiencing a technical outage that is impacting local trial courts, including Kitsap Superior Court. As a result, the Court, Court Administration and the Clerk’s Office does not have access to its case management system and is temporarily unable to provide public information related to calendars or individual Superior Court cases.
The e-file portal has been temporarily disabled. If you previously filed something, and it has not been rejected it will be accepted in the order received when our systems are back online, maintaining the date originally filed.
Please file with the Clerk's office in person, by mail, or fax. During this time, we will continue opening new cases and using a manual system for filing until the system is fully restored.
Payments can still be made online or in person at the counter, where we will issue paper receipts.
We will update this message as more information regarding scope and duration is available.
Thank you for your patience.**
You can order copies of documents filed through a third party service; Search - Washington State Archives, Digital Archives. Please note fees do apply.
Phone Systems down intermittently.
Efilewa (e-filing) is now live effective 4/22/24. Please click

The County Clerk is an elected official as provided for by the Washington State Constitution and is the administrative and financial officer for the Superior Court.
It is our mission to serve the courts and the citizens of Kitsap County in a manner best suited to provide quality, efficient, and effective service. We believe the public has a right to employees who embody the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and fairness.
The Clerk receives, processes and preserves all documents in perpetuity for all Superior Court matters, including criminal, civil, family law, probate, guardianship, paternity, adoption and juvenile matters.
As the financial officer for the court, the Clerk collects statutory fees and fines, victim restitution, and maintains the court's trust account.
As "ex-officio clerk of the court", the Clerk must be present at every court hearing to establish an independent record of each hearing ("minutes") and keep record of all exhibits entered by the parties.
The Clerk performs quasi-judicial functions such as issuing writs, warrants of arrest, and letters testamentary.
The Clerk serves as the Jury Commissioner and provides jury management services for all Kitsap County courts, including district and municipal courts.
